I’m inspired by the way nature weathers and deteriorates objects, and how layers and different depths of paint on old antiques have chipped and peeled over time, revealing hidden colors and rich patinas beneath the surface. In this painting, I used a neutral antique off-white, grey and calming blue tones alongside unexpected pops of vibrant orange, to create contrast and energy.
