N R UNSER’s work is her legacy to the world therefore she strictly works with archival art gallery grade materials, pigments, mediums, canvases and cradled wood panels; being she wants her work to last for decades to come so the paintings can be passed down to multiple generations.
Her paintings are created to enhance your environment wherever that may be. She believes things in life that provide enjoyment such as having an original painting on your wall can make you smile inwards and brighten up your day. N R UNSER’s website currently showcases two recent bodies of work on a smaller scale. One series is a mixture of encaustic, rust, copper patinas, acrylic and found objects that she aged to represent weathered treasures that you may find outside in nature. The second series N R UNSER wanted a challenge so she used an unconventional thin flat metal clay tool to paint with, being this tool provided less control while she built up multiple layers of paint to create texture and depth on the abstract paintings.
N R UNSER is currently working on a new abstract series with minimal mark making. This body of work is about releasing stagnant energy and emotions through the movement of energy to create moody gestures and marks. N R UNSER uses a neutral color palette with different shades of blacks, greys, whites, off whites, tans, light browns and a splash of blues and or greens to add a bit of color. Each painting created is unique and invokes its own movement of energy.
